Latest update: Google Podcasts is to shut down in 2024
Google Podcasts app will be shutting down later in 2024, listeners are expected to transit to YouTube Music. To make YouTube Music the new home for Google listeners, the company will offer a migration tool in the near future to enable users to add podcast RSS feeds to their YouTube Music Library, including shows that are not hosted by YouTube currently. For users who do not wish to move to YouTube, they can choose to download an OPML file of their subscriptions, which can be uploaded to any app supporting the import.
Google Podcasts is a new podcast player for Android users, where they can discover and listen to the world’s podcasts. You can subscribe to any podcast for free and download episodes for offline playback. All your listening is automatically synced across devices so that you can pause on one device and resume on another with the Google Assistant.
